Tired of all this BS that these analysts say like PlatChat who always favores the NA and EMEA as the global tournament winners like masters and champions even though the asians have won the past 3 global tournaments,

I mean can't the westerners can't accept that asians are gradually getting better and doing better than them since last year? These so called analysts always try to underrate teams from the east even though they are the one winning now ( I am aware that west USED to dominate valorant in the early days). This shit needs to be stopped cause never once i have seen them put a team from the east at the 1,2,3 spot on their rankings lmao.
EMEA & NA always favored as winners.
APAC and CN are never gonna be, and never have been top 3 "going into" any international.
This has to do with the fact that the way that these teams play is very on the fly.
Individually, most CN and APAC players ahve better intuition and instinct. Problem is you cannot rank intuition the same way you can do with macro/micro.
I love XLG and want a PRX vs TH final: But I am not going to rank either of these teams in the top 3 because I don't have definite proof apart from belief.
Generally Americas and EMEA have taken the mass majority of 1-4th spots at every event, so I can understand why people are favoring those two regions more than APAC and China. Things will change if at least 2 APAC teams or 2 China teams (excluding EDG) make it to the top 4, since those feel like outliers than the norm (like PRX by themselves in 2023, or GenG by themselves in 2024). As I say that I realized that APAC has made top 4 with 2 teams at Master Madrid so that directly refutes my statement, though in the subsequent events in 2024 Americas has been the one with 2 top 4 placements at Shanghai and Champs. Masters Bangkok is probably the first occurrence of true parity imo.
What’s up with the revisionism?
GENG were heavy favorites going into Shanghai since they placed 2nd at Madrid and SEN didn’t qualify.
EDG was pretty invisible until Champs and most people were still highly rating GENG alongside TH and G2/LEV.
T1 was the shakiest team among all of the Bangkok teams throughout their qualification. They improved in form rapidly during the tournament but most people highly rated EDG and DRX instead. G2 was rightfully hyped but they just fell short during the GF — now they’re Americas’ first seed into Toronto again while T1 fell off.
Most people right now are considering G2 and TH as favorites for Toronto because Pacific’s top teams seem less consistent while China is sending fresh teams. GENG/RRQ look strong but not nearly as dominant in region.
