Should NA LCQ have restarted from scratch?

Wanna get y'all's opinion on this because I am torn on what I think, I see arguments either way

For Restarting: This one is kinda obvious, the whole setup of NA LCQ has changed from an online LAN (lol) to completely online. By the time things restart, there will have been like 2 weeks in between the first 3 matches on the first day to the first 3 matches for the bottom half. I think you could consider this an unfair advantage. 100T came in and showed how they were playing their map pool for 2 bo3 that each went the distance. Now they have had 2 weeks and could show up and play things much differently with so much time to prepare, whereas, they will get to see their opponents go through the first 2 rounds back-to-back before upper finals. Also, could completely restarting have allowed the OCE teams time to come to the US and setup somewhere and be able to compete? Genuinely don't know how all of that stuff works with visas and covid but I hate that those guys had their opportunity taken away from them.

Against restarting: All of the teams that played in the first day were all playing in the exact same conditions as each other so I think the results are valid results. It would have kinda been unfair to 100T to have had to restart since they had already made the upper bracket finals and the tournament had to be put on pause by something that was completely out of their control (on the other side of the bracket even). In my mind, it would've been one thing if it was someone on their team that was the reason the tournament got suspended, but don't see the argument for punishing them for something that was out of their control.

I agree but judging by comments on some other threads, some people think they should've and I wanted to understand why they thought that more. Wondering if it was just my 100T bias that made me think they shouldn't haha

LETS ASSUME LCQ RESTARTED

100T FANS WHEN THEY LOSE : OMFG OMFG RITO WHY FUCK DID U RESET WE WERE IN UPPER FINALS

100T FANS IF THEY WIN : HAHHAHAHAHH WERE SOOOO MUCH BETTER WE SHOWED OUR STRATS AND STILL WON , OMEGALUL

ok this is a joke relax

I honestly don't think that two weeks is enough to change their playstyles. If Riot restarts and they cant change their playstyles, then it would be a HUGE disadvantage to 100t, Xset, and every other team that has already played

That's a good point, probably can't fully change their playstyles but I do think they could tweak things enough that it might throw people off idk

In a perfect world I would say restart it to be fair in terms of strats and same online experience for all matches,
BUT you can't take away wins from XSET and 100T especially because its not as if they had an unfair advantage.

I think the concept of a restart feels best, but in practice you have to keep the results.

Exactly, they had no advantage against teams they played. Everyone who already played, played under the same circumstances so really no way you can justify restarting

Agreed, I think the idea of restarting gains traction from wanting it to have been smoother in the first place, but now that the games have been played and the disadvantage affected both sides, a restart is not viable.
