I mean JP and KR could've gotten one more slot but SEA won LCQ

I swear Zeta would've been in champions if they didn't pull out? or would they have had to go through LCQ as well?

I mean it's still sadge but isn't that what happened?

They would still have to go through LCQ, the tournament they pulled out of. They got replaced by Northeption.

Ahhhhhh okay makes sense. Still Northeption did so well then considering they were thelast second replacement wtf.

Korean Jett hits different but I'm sad we won't see Seoldam play in champions ngl

I think Northception overperformed.

We should not expect Zeta Div to do the same as Nth was pretty much the only JP team that did not get out of the tournament in the first 2 games.

I mean Zeta Div aren't even playing until next year anyway. But Nth literally 2-0'd F4Q and PR to move onto Finals against FS.

Do I think they got lucky that DMW and Nuturn both shit the bed? Yes.

Does that take away from Nth? Not at all.

True, winning one game can be called a fluke but getting to the finals? Not really.

By overperformed I meant the fact that NTH was literally not the team we were expecting to do well.

Benkai has said that they knife teams from JP in scrims (slight point towards how bad JP is), but Nth, a low seed team from JP actually beat PRX 2-0 to shut them up.

I mean CR almost beat Gambit tbf LMFAO and it proved to be the most hype match of Berlin.
JP is bad for sure but they do have star talent and the scene will only grow more and more as time goes on.
The Valorant JP scene is literally booming from popularity, they provide the most views of any region its actually quite insane.

But on to your point, if that's what you meant by overperformed then yes they did. They wildly exceeded expectations and honestly could have won it all given that they beat FS in the upper bracket finals only to face them again.

I am not personally saying they are bad.

I am just rephrasing what Benkai said and what the community as a whole expects.

as a VS fan i agree, X10, TS, FS and CR are irrelevant. VS will win champions watch

CR did way better than G2 against Gambit on Icebox.

This obviously means that CR > G2
G2 made it farther than VS in Berlin
So CR > G2 > VS
CR is the best team in Asia.

Well SEA were destined to have 2 slots atleast and not surprised tho as SEA is like 6+ countries. But if you think actually, Thailand got 2 slots and Philippines got 1 xD

Brazil, while being a meme in international competition, has improved alot between Iceland and Berlin, the only thing is I want to see mwzera take his team to an International LAN to see how they pair against the world but if they cant beat Brazilian teams, I doubt they can beat other teams that are WAYYYYYYY stronger. Also, SEA getting another spot should be interesting since they have alot of talent

If mwzera come back to play as well as he was playing before challengers 3 finals it would be hella fun

The problem was that Riot decided on how many teams from each region would go to champions before even having an international tournament, so they had to make this decision arbitrarily or considering other aspects like viewership

SEA proved it by winning LCQ
