First, they got 2nd place in EU challengers and everyone thought they were the 2nd best EMEA team because of EU domination in EMEA back then.
Then they beat OXG in EMEA playoffs, 2nd map went to OT. Then they got destroyed by SMB, and then they beat Giants in lower. If they played with TL instead of Giants they probably wouldnt qualify for Berlin, because TL almost took down Gambit who won Berlin. G2 just had a better bracket than TL because of the seeding.
Then they were in a 3 team group in Berlin. First, they beat F4Q and lost to Sentinels, then they beat F4Q and beat Sentinels with a lot of preparation although it was a seeding match, and Sentinels is another overrated team.
Then they got the easiest draw in quarter finals. And when they actually faced with a top team in semis, they were humiliated.
In LCQ, they beat Anubis who were overhyped after the G2 match for some reason but they were obviously the worst team of LCQ.
Then they almost got 2-0’d by FUT, but they beat FUT because of FUT’s small individual mistakes. Lucky win once again.
Then they lost to TL and Guild, which was expected tbh.
Stop overrating this team pls. Gambit > Acend > TL > Guild > Gold2

Agree, but I think that if group D in Berlin would have had the original bracket SEN would have defeat them, G2 lower bracket run and then 2nd seed. Even though SEN had a disappointing performance in Berlin, I don't think G2 is above them. Lot of people overrate them. Also getting 13-0d by Gambit is devastating. (My opinion don't attack me for it)
