Why Nivera switch to valorant is a big thing

I am not sure if this has been discussed before but i think Nivera switching to valorant is huge deal at least for the EU region. AFAIK he is the only t1 player other than nitr0 who left an active roster and that too of fucking Vitality .

Before u guys go "akshually", I know he wasn't technically on the active roster but at least he was benched and possibly would have played a few matches.

In my opinion it was extremely ballsy of him to do this unlike the other pros like kennys and JW who are playing it safe.

In the end it could actually prove to be the push needed for the one CS gods who are now benched to actually try something new.

No tier 1 CS players will go to Valorant if they have a stable team.

May in the end of their career, the logic thing to do is start at CS and if thing don't work u have Valorant as a second chance. The contrary isn't possible, if u fail at Valorant then u will fail at CS.

Well Nivera was tier 1 he replaced shox on inferno and misutaa on dust 2. while do agree with u on the latter

Nivera was an one time situation because he was fcked by Valve (no 6 man roster) and wanted to play with his brother. He was benched for more than six months.

It was a easy choice to him, even more when he had a guaranteed spot at a team that can make Champions in less than 2 months.

I get your point he had an easy pass on a team. Other pros may have troubles finding a good team.

Although if kennys was actively looking for a roster idts he would have trouble finding one.

he said it himself, Vitality had a great system going with him as the 6th man, he was really enjoying it, then valve basically shut it all down forcing vitality to bench him. he felt bitter and decided to look for an opportunity elsewhere, and that was valorant

Valve really introduced this shitty system at the worst time possible.

i still think it would be hard for them to win this EMEA last chance qualifier, I hope kryptix is doing good

IMO its gonna be tough for them with G2 having a good berlin run. They are high on confidence and morale rt now

yeah man the G2 that we saw in the playoffs is very different now, imo g2, guild and SMB would give them hard time if they have matchups
