Will it ever be fixed... They just don't care enough. People turn up to watch these matches yet...

I guess what could work, possibly, is having a semi-open circuit. The franchised teams still hold onto their slots and they cannot be relegated, however they are now 2 years long and not 4. 10 franchised orgs + 6 guest orgs = 16 team league. Guest orgs qualify to any sort of regional event (kickoff or stage 1/2) based on results in tier 2. There are enough slots to have all the possibly ascending candidates and they can now qualify to international events. So next year, for example, a team like All Knights could clinch a slot for the kick off and then win the kick off while attending the first Masters. It is harder for them due to an extra event, however teams get more exposure, they can still win events and they advertise themselves to riot for the next 2 years

They mention everything except the fact that its not profitable to compete in t2.

Great idea, idk if Riot will even consider this idea tho

Tier 2 just doesn't get nearly enough viewership and it seems unlikely to change

Semi franchising will split the shares of the teams more, soo I guess not

I like this idea of it. That way there is a way for T2 players and teams to compete with the top end. I think if riot had this system they would have to update and change teams every few years maybe 2 or 4. Also have some incentive for the “Partner” teams like only they can make it through points the other challengers rosters would have to through playoffs. Also obviously have the partner teams with bundles because the T2 teams might only be there for like 1-2 splits and you don’t want to go through that effort.

I stopped reading at "cannot be relegated" . Because of that, look at what MiBR did. They didn't care cause they ain't gonna get relegated. Every teams should be at risk of getting relegated and the league should be open circuit like it used to be

I think a way to fix this is a performance review that will relegate the franchised teams every 2-4 years that will kick them out if they don’t win x amount of games. That way if a team has a bad year they don’t get insta relegated.

Then most teams leave cuz riot finances their stay in the league, and then you have a huge drop in org numbers

I think classics for the guest teams are enough cuz people will buy them "in case the org leaves"

And also a 2 year stay is enough to see if the org is serious about their intentions or just a passenger
