Hate and eKo's departures come after former head coach Cho "fAwn" Duck-keun (조덕근) announced his own departure from the team early last week. The two joined TNL in late 2020 alongside the rest of the Quantum Strikers Quantum Strikers Inactive Efina Kim Nak-yeon (김낙연) TS Yu Tae-seok (유태석) GODLIKE Lee Seo-ha (이서하) exy Park Geun-cheol (박근철) eKo Yeom Wang-ryong (염왕룡) roster after making a name for themselves in First Strike: Korea.

After joining the team, they continued to make appearances in the playoffs of major events, but have not been able to find a tournament win under TNL. In the past few VCT Korea events, TNL have made playoff appearances, but have ended up exiting the tournament early following run ins with Vision Strikers Vision Strikers Inactive stax Kim Gu-taek (김구택) Rb Goo Sang-min (구상민) Zest Kim Ki-seok (김기석) BuZz Yu Byung-chul (유병철) MaKo Kim Myeong-gwan (김명관) in Challengers stages two and three.

Because TNL Esports finished in 3rd-4th place finish in the most recent Challengers Korea stage, the team has not earned enough points to qualify for the APAC Last Chance Qualifier.
