I know i do the standings = rankings bait all the time but here's my unbiased and geniune ranking since I've watched most of the playoffs VCT games, i'll explain specific teams if anyone asks.

Favorites to win (in no order):

FNC
PRX
LOUD

Contenders to win, but a few small issues are stopping them from winning, will be with top teams if they fix them (in order):

NRG
DRX
TL
Navi

Dark Horses, could make a miracle run and win (in no order):

T1
FUT
EG

No chance of winning, just a regional diff due to skill, could make playoffs though (in no order):

The problem I c with prx is I dont think they can keep up with the reyna thing against other teams especially emea. I feel that they can get away with it in pacific bc they just have better players but once they go up against mechanically gifted teams like navi fut loud, I just dont think they can get away with it.

just a region diff, China has no teams to play to improve but all of the other regions have teams they could scrim to improve. I think China's unique playstyle could carry them through playoffs, but i think if a team makes it to playoffs all the Playoffs teams will counter-strat them to hell. Chinese teams aren't able to do that yet

apparently some of the chinese team are actually scrimming against the pacific teams. so the chinese teams are actually able to improve from quality scims

All pacific teams are really good on scrim but the most impressive teams were EDG, PRX and JDT(Japan Challengers)
EDG is really a strong contender
When ASE's ace player is on their high's, we cannot stop them

out of all the GF, that game meant the least. 0 stakes since playoffs seeds are seen as equal across all of the regions. why would Fnatic pull out some new shit to win? also TL had the game of their life.

I agree actually although I’d say the miracle run teams also have no chance of winning but they could get top 3. I think once it gets to bo5s, map depth really really matters and none of those teams possess that and a full roster of consistently strong players.

that's fair yeah i forgot about the bo5's

but as it stands now, the top teams have maps that they perma ban, so if they fall to lowers their chances of winning become much lower. the dark horse teams have elements of surprise that the top teams can't counter-strat and T1, FUT, and sometimes EG have INSANE aim, kinda why i said it would be a miracle if they won, and they could still win (1-2% chance)

The two Chinese teams are severely underrated. EDG is definitely a dark horse here at least. They've just gotten pretty unlucky in the past events grouped up with tournament favorites.
