If passport is the issue, why would you not have one if you work a job that requires traveling internationally?

but as a sub you know there is a chance, and asking a pasport is not that expensive surely with these franchise contracts

can't they just get something temporary... these visa stuff are bullshit. there should be something called pro gamer visa that is always accepted if the player has a tournament in that country. After the tournament he can leave the country if it is that much of a deal. earth is for everyone, ofc i get the idea of protecting the country but this is not normal.

give demon1 his visa or cancel the tournament... there is no 3rd option

idk tbh his situation seems to be a bit tricky and nobody knows the exact reason - some people are saying he doesnt have passport, some are saying visa issues, some say he wasnt on starting roster -- these are all different reasons.

  1. if he doesnt have a passport - an agency led expedited passport only takes 2 weeks in US
  2. Japan actually needs a entertainer visa for players which takes months but EG can try and get a tourist visa for 90 days and make it seem like he wasnt on the payroll during the tournament - there are ways to make it work and it has been done in the past for other players. American citizens actually dont even need a visa for tourism to Japan

now some people even say he is Russian - and on a green card - he cannot NOT have a passport in that case. Actually the real reason might be that his immigration is a bit tricky and if he leaves US - his re-entry to US might be declined in that case. He probably doesnt wanna take a risk in that case and does not wish to explain that situation to people. Thats his personal reason and we should not prod further about it

It’s not about a passport, it’s about a visa because demon1 would technically be working in Tokyo, it is a different situation than just travel, where he needs a special visa that takes a long time to process. Riot got those visas for all franchised players on starting rosters months ago, but demon wasn’t on the team at that point.

its called entertainer visa and it does take months but there are ways to expedite and bypass the whole situation if they really want to and it has been done in the past. I actually feel it is related to his immigration status in the US which is why he does not wish to talk about it and just made an ambiguous tweet saying there are reasons
