I have been thinking about fixing this mf.
How about if his Tp's became recharging like omen, and every time you fake it it spawns a clone?
Also, make it so he can launch two at the same time, and choose which he tps into (maybe a keyboard shortcut)
Also and this one is a bit extreme, Make him an initiator, he sucks as a duelist, keep the clone in the tp, take away the clone standalone and put some other ability to round out his kit as an initiator

he means recharge like any other signature ability, that recharges after specific time.
Like skye flash, breach stun, sova recon, fade haunt

think about it, his clone is great for initiating puxhes and getting info, his ult is basically a super sky dog.
if we give his tp more flexibility he can completely mess up the enemy's intel
i just have to figure out what 3rd ability he should have

As someone who has thousands of matches with Yoru and peaked ASC3 playing w/ Yoru, I would say that Yoru is like 75% duelist and 25% initiator

He's still a good duelist and entry fragger if you play smart

My problem is more that he needs TOO much skill to be as good as the other options, if he atleast was top 2 on 1 pro map it would be fine, its expected that jett would dominate due to OP meta. but he isnt, he is also very limited in his usage, his skill floor is high but his utility is low.
there was a TMV video i think on a team in Europe with some good ideas on him, but even then, the setting up required too much utility and sinergy

Agree that Yoru need too much skill, but you can solve this if you have a good initiator at your side (sadly this don't happen too much in solo queue lol), if not, you will need to have a exceptional game read.

That's really not very noob friendly neither worth of working that much to make he effective in a pro team when you have simple agents that work in every map, but I don't think that changing his role is the way

the thing with duelists are that, unlike any other role, their signature abilities don't regenerate for free, you need to get 2 kills in order to get ability back instead of waiting for cooldown like sova dart, skye flash, all of astra abilities, etc... if they did that to yoru, they would have to do that with every other duelist, and I DONT want to see a jett dashing around every 30-45 seconds in my lobbies...

for the people who haven't played r6 its basically pheonix run it back but you can't shoot and maybe it flashes? flash might be a little broken though.
