I always wanted to build a brand, but with the pressure of trying to perform, I spent 10+ hours a day watching vods, server work, perfecting my own individual skill. Android

And theres some 17 yo fraggin out of mind

So was android doing something wrong?

Atleast 15% genetic plays a role?

you can try but remember that pros are very talented individuals. if you're not 100% sure about it you should focus on school/other carrers

You just assume that those 17 yo don't put in effort lmao everyone does. If you want to be better then put even more effort so much that effort beats talent

you need both to be at the top. Talent can get you pro but maybe mid tier level.

no matter how hard you work you have a physical peak. if you're born naturally better you will have a higher ceiling

#15

yeah but at any competitive level, u still need to work really really hard. An average individual that work hours a day, will beat a the most talented person if the talented one doesn't practice.
Talent alone will, at best, get you to the top 5%

I didn't need to say this, but anyway, I used to compete in another game, and I was horrible, but I came to the conclusion that talent in fps is subjective, if you dedicate yourself, you achieve it, and was that what i did. Having talent is absolutely useless if you don't dedicate yourself and don't strive for talent. It's the same thing as having a Ferrari without a steering wheel, and a Fiat with Hamilton driving. That's the difference in performance. Like, For example do you think FNX from cs was not super talented? or that karrigan is a poor player? Look they career, longevity in the game, commitment, how many minds they changed for the better... ;)

Tbf, we are always bound to be naturally good at something. If it isn't playing a game professionally, maybe it is something else.

I dont believe on talent actually, I think talent is a word we used when you've worked really hard in one particular skill then is become your talent

exactly this, mfs acting like there is a FPS gene

some people are clearly born better than others. I have mild tremors in my hand, whenever I'm the last man alive those tremors really fuck with my aim. There's even a valorant streamer with extreme tremors in his hands. FNS too have this problem even tho its very mild, have you seen him constantly ADSing after getting a kill? That's his hand fucking up with his brain. Then there's reaction time too.

that's not being untalented, that's being disadvantaged and even then you can work you can work on your strengths and end up just like FNS, bro is at the top

what if people that talented also work hard on that particular skill?

There is a lot to going pro, genetics just give you a small advantage that is negligible

well i think that's what we call opportunity, not everyone can get supportive parents who giving a good PC to his kid which allow u to go PRO,
for example me, i get my PC at 19 yo and i buy it with my own money and my monitor its only 75hz ,my PC not even that good to go PRO

the younger brothers are more likely to get into fps's because of their older brother.
and they can help them learn quicker. mentoring

Being consistent is harder than being good, just ask PRX players xD

I'm 90% crosshair placement 10% aim sucks that aim my aim is still shit after all the aim training but i guess my game sense is improving due to my shit aim

your eye to hand movement needs improvement try focusing as spot and move you crosshair as accurate as possible and improve reaction speed

fps games are mostly ruled by talent based players who work hard and eye to hand coordination is the most crucial thing and having 150ms reaction speed from brain to dominant hand is having talent for most of esports although most people dont find success

I don't think so I think everything can be learned but every one will have different ways
And also 17year old also probably plays same hours as you

  1. getting shit on in ranked doesn't automatically mean they're better. Especially online, so many variables to consider.
  2. the MENTAL aspect
  3. Just because you think those settings are good for you doesn't mean they're best for you.
  4. Someone may have higher peaks, but are they more consistent?
