I would like you to organize the TOP 12 from the best to the worst team based on your honest opinion and how you understand the game with these teams, and that you have preferably watched recent games from these three regions:

North America:
Sentinels
Faze
100T
Envy

Europe:
FPX
Guild
Fnatic
Team Liquid

Brazil:
Team Vikings
Furia
Gamelanders
Sharks

can only rly comment on eu so

fpx - super consistent, solid igl with experienced players
guild - upward trajectory, yacine + leo look like a rly solid rifling duo
liquid - firepower buff with +jamppi but not sold on their calling situation (relied on heavily opening duels against bds)
fnatic - quite an easy bracket to qualify, derke looks good, but all depends if they can activate the sage on doma

Some of my takes, will do (an absolutely shit, don't worry) rankings at the bottom. Will include some other teams just because they have a high chance at going to Masters. In no particular order:

  • Fnatic
Pros: Is a very good team, and their skill ceiling it outrageously high. This whole team can frag, especially Derke. They're one of the best Bind teams in the world, if not the best.
Cons: Derke, for all his prowess, still seems a bit inconsistent. cNed made him look like a joke. On a good day, with a good matchup, they can beat literally any team, but I'd say they have quite a few things to work out before they can really be a powerhouse.
  • Liquid
Pros: Between scream and jamppi, this team has an insanely high skill ceiling, with the brits on the team doing their best to complement the fraggers.
Cons: L1nk and soulcas. These players are mostly a drag to the team, even if they have their moments. They are just there to support the real carries. Challengers 2 showed what this team could look like with a little bit more consistency, so I'd love to see more of their peak
  • FPX
Pros: Consistency, map pool, a good read on the meta and strategies, and of course, fragging power. This team has a lot of it all.
Cons: Choking under pressure. Yeah I know, kind of a ridiculous thing to put as a con, but this team sometimes just like doesn't win their gun battles and falters in clutch scenarios. Also, some of the other best teams in the world have slightly more fragging power than them overall, so we'll see how they can adapt.
  • Guild
Pros: Synergy, consistency, a dynamic fragging duo as their stars, this team is definitely nothing to laugh at.
Cons: Kind of like a b-tier FPX to be honest, they have similar strengths and weaknesses. I don't think they'll overcome teams with better aim and enough preparation.

For NA, I don't really know which teams are going to challenger finals, so I can't really make an accurate assessment quite yet. I'll just talk about two teams for now:

  • Sentinels
Pros: TenZ. SicK. Shahzam. dapr. This team has probably the most fragging power in the world. With one of the best IGLs in the world.
Cons: Reliability on winning aim duels and not strategy. Their motto is: take fights, and win them. Not sure how that will bode in Challengers 2 or even Masters.
  • 100T
Pros: Between nitr0, Asuna, and Ethan, there is a lot of firepower on this squad. When Asuna is hot, this team is one of the best in the world.
Cons: Sometimes their strategies are a bit see-through even with steel as an IGL, but the biggest problem is inconsistency. Between their whole team, it seems that one or more of them is off every game, and it changes who it is. They need to get their act together as a team and all do their part each game.

Can't make accurate assessments of Brazilian and Turkish teams, but what I can say is that having watched some of their matches, the raw aim is definitely there and not lost on some of the best teams. In sum, I think the brazilian, na, and eu reps at masters will all be successful and somewhat even, but I'll do my best to do a rankings here:

  1. Sentinels
  2. FPX
  3. 100T
  4. Liquid
  5. Fnatic
  6. Gamelanders
  7. Futbolist
  8. Envy
  9. VKS
  10. Guild
  11. BBL
  12. FaZe
  13. Furia
  14. Gambit
  15. Sharks

Excellent writing! I liked it and found it very interesting the different way you see the same teams that I watch, I didn't know that FPX and Guild choked in big games, do you believe that they can tilt on LAN?

It’s harder to tilt in LANs, but I think it will be an exciting masters either way

EU the best valorant. VKS plays like a EU team. GL is the most agressive team in the world right now. Furia and Sharks it's a GL without Mwzera. 100T to me is better than Envy and Faze, but loses to EU tactical style. SEN is the better team in NA right now for sure but they can't beat FPX. Guild, Liquid and FNATIC are both good but can't beat mwzera and the style of GL. VKS is better than Guild, Liquid and FNATIC because they play the same but they have more aim.

FPX- super consistent, a lot of fire power, a good strats overall

Fnatic - was a good team in EU even before derke, and after derke they can defo beat any team, they just need a time to adapt

Gamelanders - consistent, sinergy, and a good fire power, basically the rest of the team doesnt need to frag, cuz mw and jonn, but they do their job as support players, and can frag when they need too

sentinels - basically the same thing as gamelanders, they are less aggro, and gamelanders trys to get more fights than them, but them and GL are on top since a long time ago and they keep improving and trying to get better, and adapting, and are still on top.

Team Vikings - they have probably the best fire power in brazil, and good strats, they are good on adapting and trying to read their opponents.

Guild - cant say so much, but from what i have seen they are very underrated and can perform well against t1 teams.

team liquid - with the addition of jamppi they are looking so much better than other EU teams and are performing well against t1 teams, we need to see a bit more what they can do

100t - they got hard read by every team, and lacks consistency, but they fire power is good with their core, steel and hiko are still underperfoming, and i think that will be a rock under their shoes.

sharks - they have a good read, but cant really perform under pressure and they choke a lot, if they are over read they get desperated and wont perform good, their fire power keeps improving and getting better, and everyone there can frag.

faze - since sentinels victory against them they dont really showed so much, but at their prime they just destroyed everyone.

Furia - they lost two times and it was against gamelanders, but it seems like they can lose at any time now, their fire power is so good that if someone is having a bad day one of them will fill the gap, but they cant relly on it forever, they are very aggro but sloppy some times.

envy - they are consistent on the top 4, but choke in every semi final, or get a upset, i cant say so much

SEN- They are a team with a lot of firepower (sick, tenz and dapr) and a good igl, they hold a lot about winning the duels, I feel that strategy is lacking, but they have a very good reading in the other teams

FPX- my fav team on eu btw, It is a strategic team, with a very good firepower, in quick conclusion they are an exceptional team, my favorites to win masters2

NV- a team with 3 very solid riflers, FNS a spectacular igl, they have everything they need to win but sometimes they usually choke when it is most important

XSET(replacing faze bc i think they're better)-they have a regular firepower, and a pretty decent igl, they play as a team and some comps that look quite favorable against other teams they had a pretty close series vs 100t and that confirms all to me

GL- mwzera n friends, i don't know how mwzera manages to take a team that far, i don't have any hatred towards GL but all i see is a slightly more successful rerun of tenz n friends

VKS- they look like a very structured team like many teams in EU and some in NA, it is seen that they have potential

FNC- they are so strong in bind, super strategic team.

100T- they're looking good lately, it's interesting to see how the team changes with ethan, looking promising

LG: Very good, they are coordinated but aggro, making it hard to think what they are going to do and even harder to counter attacks
NV: Very good as well, Kaboose and Crashies have good sync and Food gets crucial frags
100T: They are smart, and can switch up playstyle when needed to. And Hiko almost always wins the 1vX situations :)
FaZe: W key + Left click = W
SEN: TenZ runs the show, making him the carry too. But everyone is good, so he got a good supporting cast.

FPX: Too good, EU goat
FNC: Can turn up the heat in a split second, and when they have momentum, its hard to stop them

In regards to NA being shit: watch other regions, we are the 3rd best major region, and that's only because KR doesn't have a huge playerbase. They have taken over every game they get into, when they do it'll happen in this game too.

From watching SEN earlier, I don't think they deserve to make Iceland in their current form. They looked extremely sloppy during their qualifying matches and just coasted on aim. If they shape up in the closed qualifier then I will revisit and see what I think after.

Best Top 12 so far!! I agree with you regarding SEN, everyone saying they are Top 1 or 2, but I wouldn't be surprised if they drop in Challengers Main Event, they are not performing well. C9B and Andy or BBG seems pretty strong, i think 2 out of this 3 will pass to Finals. (not considering GEN.G, TSM, FAZE and T1 who haven't played yet at the time of this post).

My only problem with this is Furia sharks and guild.
sharks def have to work on their ascent they looked so lost with the yoru, they had like 5 plays, and that's it.
Guild just feels like they depend so much on Yacine entry.
Furia can def be beaten by any team on this list IMO, I only recently started watching them (vct 2)
SEN can beat anyone on this list except fpx.
def geng now in identity crises all over again where players don't stick to their agent and keep swapping roles.
NV should be no 5 IMO if they don't choke they quite literally can beat any team in this list.

my rankings (but im going to assume that instead of FaZe, we are using XSET)

for this im taking into consideration recent achievements, current meta, and also team and play styles

  1. fnatic (hot take, i'll explain in a bit)
  2. fpx
  3. vikings
  4. sentinels
  5. gamelanders
  6. 100t
  7. furia
  8. guild
  9. team liquid
  10. furia
  11. sharks
  12. envy
  13. xset

i'm genuinely convinced that fnatic, given an extra month, will be the best team in the world. their strats always amaze me and while their teamplay is stil lfresh and gonna need improvement, they'll probably go head to head with fpx just in terms of a player to player matchup and the versatility of each team's comps

i put fpx/fnatic as the two best because of each team's versatility on every map. fpx amazes me with their comps too and i just think between vikings/fpx/fnatic it's a three way tie but eu is slightly ahead

outside of that, i think the aggressive style of brazil will easily counter teams like sentinels, but will quickly be countered by teams like 100t and to an extent vikings and team liquid.

my rankings are biased though because i think teams with set defaults and styles like vikings/100t are rated highly. also i'm not sure with gamelanders at #5, but i think mwzera is really just that good. he's imo the best player in the world. i think of them like navi (except they're way more aggressive) with the s1mple/electronic duo being mwzera/jonn

envy/team liquid suffer from a lack of a notable backup star player behind their main star (jamppi is kinda questionable, and kaboose is a hit or miss on some days); also i think both teams are inconsistent (envy less, but they seem to be heading on a donwards trend). meanwhile i think furia will actually choke at their first few lan outings until they get more experience. same with xset

also taking into consideration of the new comp meta, furia/sentinels i think will be hit hard by this meta. personally i would put sentinels somewhere not at 4 but right now their achievements are too strong to put them anywhere below the top 4

Great list! I always saw Gamelanders as CSGO's Navi as well as LMAO. Agree that the best teams we have today are FPX /Fnatic/Vikings, Fnatic and FPX are extremely intelligent teams and are very tactically disciplined, but don't you think that Vikings can give mechanical OUTPLAY? In fact, what you said about Sentinels and Furia is true, I think they will not be so strong for Iceland, but I believe they can reach the Champions much better and maybe even win! Especially if SEN can keep TenZ in the lineup.

I think Vikings will be able to mechanically outplay other teams. The only reason they lost to Gamelanders in the winners group was because mwzera absolutely popped off and they seem to have a hard time countering his aggression (i'll say it again, mwzera is the BEST raze in the world). I think they have the mechanical skill and the strategies, but I don't tnhink they are above FPX and fnatic until they face diferent region playstyles.

I agree with your points too

I mean everyone counts out Acend in EU now but i still think they'll come up in the next challenger and they already won the first Masters, Cned is one of the best jetts in the scene if Acend cant pop off he needs to find a more comfortable team

  2. FPX
    3.Acend
    4.Envy
    5.Gamelanders
    6.Vikings

????? Acend is definitively out. Vitality is definitely out. (i.e it is impossible for them to make Iceland as they have been kicked out of the tourney). This is about the top teams in iceland. As of writing Faze is definitely out as well. VKS > Gamelanders imo- it required a god-like performance even by Mwzera's standards to barely win, and VKS have only lost 2 series (including the one yesterday, and the other was a bo1) ever since Sacy + Saadhaak joined. Very skeptical about Sentinels ability to CONSISTENTLY perform, considering they lost to a t2 team in BBG in a bo3 in convincing fashion. That, outside of Dignitas beating TSM, was probably the biggest upset in Valorant esports so far (perhaps only entropiq vs heretics comes close, and that was only a bo1). If they can be antistratted this hard by a t2 NA team, imagine what a top t1 EU team like FPX could do.

wh omegalul said they anti stratted them so hard? BBG had very few good reads.... did u even watch the match... Sentinels were so off, playing as if with no comms, this is what u call an off day. They were blatantly missing soooo many shots. that the only BO3 that sentinels have lost and that mattered in the whole of 2021. They have already gone through their worst it's only up from here.. And i believe they are nowhere near their peak so far.... This team is a star team if I have ever seen one.

Ok cool. it doesn't even really matter why they lost, but who they lost to. If on a good day you can be a top 3 team, then on another not even top 20, thats some highly inconsistent stuff . And it wasn't even a bo1, but a bo3 with map bans. NOT only that, but they lost in absolutely convincing fashion.
