Polaris and Turkey
Btw
No cap talent wise emea might have better VCL but SA hosting their own VCL is 100 times bigger as per leaks making it the biggest VCL maybe chinese one will clap it later but yes

Polaris and Turkey. East is likely going to be pretty good as well, because that area has produced many good players and will in the future as well. Sadly these outside of Turkey just doesn't generate much viewership.

By far East and Turkey, followed by Polaris a step behind imo and then everyone else is a tier bellow

who in east will be competitive; obviously they have acend who will probably make a good roster but think losing tenstar hurt alot

East has the most talent in my opinion, probably a direct consequence of being the VRL with most countries and biggest population. Idk exactly what orgs are gonna join but the amount of East players I would want in my team it’s just a longer list than any other region. The only thing that could change that is them choosing other VRL’s too often

I also think mechanical skill is far more important and will benefit you better in tier 2 scene, Turkey and east regions also known for being heavy dependent on shooting and I think smart orgs will know that

Northern EU might be more competitve, but the best teams are gonna be from East, turkey and northern as of right now. That's just my speculation, from past results and talents.

the obvious favorites for ascension is parla and fokus to some extent but they havent been playing nearly as good as parla in the off season

Why is Polaris so highly rated?
According to Liquipedia every team so far is orgless except Fokus, and all players on all rosters are kinda mid

#27

fokus is probably top 3 team in t2 right now.
apeks is also joining the scene: 3/5 roster rn
the barbers is a pretty good roster
and Les petit bouffons

most of the VRL is unknown in terms of quality. theres just alot of good names (atleast on paper) in polaris rn

Damn what a waste for Apeks, 300 viewers no exposure tournament

Also imagine signing Magnum, the guys from org haven't seen his aiming skills or what

where else do you want them to go?
turkey? all spots taken
east? all spots taken

they are an Norwegian organisation it makes sense to go to polaris

#31

Nowhere. They better save money and go elsewhere. Imagine entering Valorant to play in one of the least popular Ascensions.

How far has that csgo roster got them? Losing to big academy in america?
especially with the wages those csgo players are on.
whats the harm in taking a roster here where the payoff is as big as it can possible be

CSGO offers guaranteed playtime in multiple events every month, many opportunities to qualify for various international tournaments to compete against the best, decent prize pools and decent viewership depending on how well your team performs...

Valorant offers nothing besides forever being stuck in your own league with lowest possible viewers, and of course half-year offseasons aka paying players for scrimming.

#34

Csgo CAN make these offers. But theres no guarantee in any of this happening.
the price of an eu csgo roster is very expensive and thats not including buyouts
its an aggressive and crazy competitive market and most likely highly unprofitable.

you need to get the ball rolling to start getting invites to the big money events.
even if you do theres no guarantee of anything. bne for example

dont act like valorant doesnt offer anything.
you win ascension and thats generating a huge wave of revenue

I'm pretty sure any team is much more likely to qualify to a prestige CSGO event as an underdog, than to win EMEA Ascension, when in both these cases the amount of popularity your team gets is about the same

#41
capital_d_colon

Frags

not even comparable.
you win ascension. you are guaranteed to play with the big dogs for over a year. in the big leagues.
you qualify for a major.. nobody remembers fucking dream eaters or syman.
yes its harder but the payoff is bigger

I mean Fokus looks good but the rest are really nothing crazy. Apeks we don't know how it's gonna be completed, and barbers and les petit buffons are decent but not something good enough to call Polaris the best league like some people do. There's a shit tone of Turkish rosters better than that

im not saying polaris is the best.
im just presenting an argument for why people rate it highly
like i said. alot of questions surrounding rosters right now, polaris have a few names that have played t1 before.
once we hit that ascension tournament of atleast a few weeks of watching the teams play. we will know what region is the best

alot of good teams, FOKUS, who cars, onlyfins, LPB, Barbers, human tripwires.
APEKs too who is joining with ex-fnatic

and fokus is probably one of the favourites for ascension with parla

#38
Mortadelo

Frags

I mean who cares was not a top VRL team last year and it's not this year either, neither is only fins nor HTW imo. And then you got Fokus which is actually good, Apeks who does not have a complete roster yet, barbers and LPB which is are good but not like some crazy good ascension torunament contenders if you know what I mean

I'm kind of out of the loop with VRLs, but can bonk qualify for Polaris or will they? I think they would be decent team in any league as well tbh. Or at least not push overs. Especially with Chiwawa addition.

Now that you mention it , theres a chance they could be invited...
they have 3 players from polaris home nations.
