I can't feel the difference between 144 and 240hz, but from 60 to 144 is crucial

Not really. Difference between 144hz and 165hz is almost unnoticeable. Ofc bigger number is better but to see the actual jump between refresh rates let's compare frametimes.

60 Hz = 16.66ms/frame

75 Hz = 15 ms/frame

144 Hz = 6.94 ms/frame

165 Hz = 6.06 ms/frame

240 Hz = 4.16 ms/frame

Copy paste from Google

Tysm, but imagine that one 165hz screen is more cheaper than 144hz(very weird ngl)
In that case 165hz is better?

165 Hz is more cheaper? don't only check the hz check like the quality of the videos is it made for gaming or watching videos

When deciding between a 144 Hz and a 165 Hz monitor, there are a few factors to consider:

Budget: 144 Hz and 165 Hz monitors tend to be more expensive than monitors with lower refresh rates. If you're on a tight budget, a monitor with a lower refresh rate may be a more practical choice.

Hardware: To get the most out of a 144 Hz or 165 Hz monitor, you'll need a graphics card and processor that can deliver high frame rates. This can be a significant investment, especially if you're building a new gaming PC from scratch. If you don't have the necessary hardware or are unwilling to invest in it, a monitor with a lower refresh rate may be a better choice.

Personal preference: The difference between a 144 Hz and 165 Hz refresh rate may not be noticeable to everyone. If you're unsure which refresh rate is right for you, you may want to try out both and see which one you prefer.

If you have the budget and hardware to support it, and you're looking for the smoothest and most responsive gaming experience possible, a 165 Hz monitor may be the better choice. However, if you're on a tighter budget or don't notice a significant difference between higher refresh rates, a 144 Hz monitor may be a more practical choice. Ultimately, the decision will depend on your specific needs and preferences as a gamer.

60-144Hz jump is quite noticeable, 144 to 165 is almost not visible to the eye. 144 to 240 is visible but not as huge as 60 to 144 hertz jump.

And by the time you reach 360 hertz you can barely tell any difference.

If you can get 144Hz vs 165 Hz for similar pricing you can go for a monitor that has a better image quality without worrying about the almost 20 frames difference.

Tip: Some monitors can be overclocked so you 144Hz monitor might go up higher but I do not recommend doing it if you are a noobie.

I don't watch a lot of videos with my laptop ngl, but if the 144hz has better image quality to play, I'm going to but the 144hz one

the difference between 144hz and 165hz is not noticable. at that point check the panel type, response time, motion clarity etc.
