c9 dropping C9W is just terrible.

i had to re read the article out of sheer confusion.

just another example of how these big orgs don’t want to support a good cause

the fact c9W wasn’t even offered a franchising spot was always ridiculous and sad but to see the org drop them now that they aren’t “useful” to the bottom line.

valorant and c9 had a perfect opportunity to set an example in eSports and decided not to.

sad day.

Oh u have no idea, C9 are one of the most financially stingy orgs in esports, mainly because they do not rely on VC's and their ceo Jack etieiane still retains control of the org due to that, he wants to keep control of his org basically so he doesn't get VC's(venture capitalists) involved as much as say 100t or G2, nadeshot and Carlos barley control their org anymore(hence my Carlos got the boot)

if c9 doesn’t have the money they should drop the CS team and continue investing in under represented groups.

C9W could be a top 25 team if valorant didn’t suppress them and force them to play in their “identified gender” only groups.

let the skills rise to the top and even if it’s not quite there they should be in franchising to help promote equality.

It's unfortunate that C9 didn't have the resources to keep the roster together. I personally really wanted to see them stick it out and find redemption at next year's game changers championship. But they do not belong anywhere near franchising. That's a brain dead take. They would literally lose every single one of their matches.

riot did not supress them to play with women. Most top gc teams including c9w have played vct but cant get past the open qualifiers. Why should riot give them franchising if they pull quarter the viewers mens do and are at the level of t2 - t3 teams. There is no sexism
