Mixwell has spent all of his Valorant career at G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive , being the only player to survive every roster move made by the organization. In the past two years, Mixwell has led G2 through historic highs and lows. The team went from one of the best in Europe, back during Ignition Series, to one that struggled throughout 2021.

Mid-year roster changes in the year took G2 to Masters Berlin, where the team ended in the top four, but they wouldn't return to LAN for several months. At Masters Reykjavik this year, where G2 were placed directly in the playoffs, Mixwell and co. were only able to win one match and bowed out in the top six. The team had a poor end to the year, finishing the second EMEA Challengers group stage in the top eight and the EMEA LCQ in third, meaning G2 didn't go to Champions.

Heretics, on the other hand, were completely absent from the VCT after mid-2021 despite being one of the best teams in Europe in 2020. In 2022, Heretics dedicated themselves to VRL Spain but weren't able to find success, finishing the second season in eighth place. They exited Red Bull Home Ground #3's EMEA qualifier in third after losing to KOI KOI Europe Rank #157 kamo Kamil Frąckowiak ShadoW Tobias Flodström grubinho Grzegorz Ryczko starxo Patryk Kopczynski sheydos Bogdan Naumov , and are currently in the Crossfire Cup's playoffs.

As part of the competitive shift envisioned by Riot for 2023, Heretics were one of the 10 European — and one of three Spanish — organizations selected for the VCT EMEA League. Just months prior, they had announced the acquisition of Misfit Gaming's LEC slot for the 2023 season. G2 Esports, following controversy surrounding CEO Carlos Rodriguez, were excluded from participating in the partnered league.
