I work as a software eng, where i am surrounded by Indians and the stereotypes in the west about them having a "funny" accent, bad body odor, "women are pretty but men are ugly" are soooo bullshit. Indians have to be one of the most smartest, down to earth motherfkers i've met - they dont even make much fuss about all the racist serotypes like they should.(Definitely not covered by Asian hate movement). Its nice to see most Indians i know are happy about the accent of Harbor aswell.

Indians are just racist against Chinese people/people from the Asian race.

People from North East India don't even consider themselves Indians because of this reason.

If a North Eastern guy comes to mainland India he will probably just get tired of the Chinky Chinese jokes.

Yeah there's more internal racism in India than racism towards people from other countries. There's a lot of divide in country which is tbh expected in a huge ass diverse country. People from South hate people from North and vice versa because of linguistic issues and as the other guy mentioned there's a lot of casual racism against people of north east because of their looks. Its so ingrained in the culture that most people especially teens don't even realise that its racism. A while ago some minister from the NE called for a ban on BGMI (pubgm clone), he got a lot of hate because of it and then a teen youtuber with 500k subs thought he would look calling him chinese and joking about his looks etc. Long story short that youtuber was booked and he spent a month in jail in the north east

that's the dumbest statement I've heard today people from almost ALL states make fun of people from other states North Indians and South Indians have been going at it since ages too calling them this and that based on the color of their skin but that's no reason for anyone to not consider themselves as Indians the main reason is the Neglect North East India has had from almost all central Govts in the past which were primarily led by leaders from Mainland India or North India to be specific ever since the Independence

People want an entirely new country landlocked within Assam and you think this is a dumb statement. Do you know the existence of Bodoland? Do you know what happened in Kokrajhar in 2012?

Most people just live in a bubble in India. Just because you haven't seen something on TV does not mean it does not happen.

It's not an opinion or a statement it's a fact. A LOT OF PEOPLE in the North East just do not associate with Indians. If you don't agree just go to the small towns there and see for yourself. I have lived in Assam myself for 3 years and was there when Kokrajhar happened. I don't need someone to validate what I saw with my own eyes on VLR.

there are and have been separatists movements all over India not just North East for example in Punjab, JK , Maoists across multiple states and also in TN. Yes I have been to North East and I do have quite a few Meitei friends and yes Ik about bodoland and the 2012 Assam violence, Yes MOST people just live in a bubble in India due to mainstream media but that doesn't mean you just assume Everyone does and include me in with them .
