KOI and Rogue have joined forces to play in the LEC and VCT as a combined team under the KOI title.
The Spanish team was founded in December of 2021 by LVP caster Ibai Llanos and FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué and have since found success in the LVP and VCT. Upon their entrance to the LVP in December of 2021, KOI has had consistent results placing top four at LVP 2022 Spring Season and Playoffs as well as Summer playoffs. Rogue on the other hand plays in the LEC, League of Legends top league in the European region where they have consistently boasted top three results through 2021 and 2022. Most notably their placements at LEC 2021 and 2022 Spring and Summer playoffs.
Shortly after KOI’s entrance to LVP, they entered the 2022 VCT season where they signed the UCAM Toikers roster. The roster took on VCT EU S1 where they made a run to the quarterfinals but ultimately lost at the hands of Vitality. After their elimination in VCT, they entered VRL: Spain where in their first split they ended with a 6-3 record securing them a spot in playoffs and a 1 round BYE to the semifinals. Unfortunately they fell short with a 3-2 loss at the hands of eventual winner Rebels Gaming. They then played in the next split of VRL Spain but could not replicate their success going 5-13 in groups and forcing them to play in the demotion tournament. In demotion they took a 3-1 victory over Real Betis which secured them, at minimum, a spot in the next season's VRL Split. But with KOI’s partnership with Riot for the 2023 league, the VRL Spain slot has now become open.
Rogue will now enter the VCT for the first time with KOI playing in the EMEA league and will continue to compete in the LEC 2023 season. While this partnership remains pending approval from riot games, they are confident it will pass through.
