not really... i would respect the choice of anyone who follows a religion or no religion, because you cant change what someone believes in if they truly think it is correct.

You can definitely change what someone believes in if you are willing to abandon everything

Ultra common Netero W

Cancel culture has always been a thing, just depends on who has the majority of social influence.

i wouldn’t describe killing religious heretics as “cancel culture”

It may not be a 1:1 comparison, but you can look at the red scare during the cold war, and it's basically as 1:1 as you can get. The point is that the dominant social power will try to suppress anything that challenges the narrative. It doesn't make it any more right or wrong; it just happens to be a fact of human nature.

cancel culture has nothing to do with what happened to him. he made a mind numbingly stupid mistake and then doubled down on it. thats all his doing.

its his right to be friends with a terrible person sure. but its also the ppls right to judge him for that when he's posting abt it on social media. he is basically advertising for tate by doing that.

cancel the orgs and I’ll join the team but no one here will. they will blindly support the orgs and spew hatred about chevron or other big corporations.

niiiiic3!!

Cancel culture didn’t do this. This happened because G2’s CEO partied with a highly controversial person and then doubled down on it when called out.

Sponsors, shareholders, and even employees don’t want an org executive acting like this, it hurts the reputation and credibility of the organization.

there are more people who lose careers/lives because of sexism/racism/homophobia etc and it has been long and continuous fight for justice for these people. when you as a fkin CEO of an org chill with people who are openly misogynistic, you're gonna face the brunt of it. THAT is the only way to send a message that it is not OK to be a shit person and ur not gonna get away with it

what is so tough to understand this lol
