Since Chinese team did not get a franchise slot, will the players play for KR/JP teams?

Nah they cant do that. They need at least 3 players from the region. My thought was something like this. 3jp/kr + 2 chinese players.

I don't think that's how it works, I think now it's all a same region they can pick whoever the fuck they want, spots are not actual spots for each region, we just call spots to wherever the team is from not like that they are locked there. Pretty sure players from all over Asia are not imports just like idk, CIS players aren't in EMEA for example.

I don't think they will pick them up but pretty sure they could if they actually wanted to

So what will the players do, then? Working in a McDonald?

language barrier is a serious problem. IMO some CHN orgs will stay and compete in the T2 scene.

Certain orgs will definitely make it to Challengers every year (clearly the favorite is EDG) and maybe eventually franchising, but that's a bit of a pipe dream.

Maybe, but unlikely. It’s probable that there’s something planned for when val gets released in China, (maybe own region, or east Asia, these are just examples), but until then you shouldn’t bank on seeing Chinese players in apac for now. Not because of language barriers (there are many esport teams with Korean and Chinese players), but because big name orgs just haven’t seen enough from them

- Language Barrier

On top of that, is when the game's actually being approved (The answer is: December, or late next year )

Post Approval there will be a CN League anyway

Why does it take so long for valorant to be accepted in China?

The government's crack down on tech industry and censorship
ranges from Violence,Blood,Texture all the way to Changing ingame lore

Games can take up to 1 or more year to be accepted (example Call of Duty Mobile didnt got approved until December 2020 which is over a year)

Probably gonna introduce a full Chinese league once the game officially launches.

NO future until game approves there and national servers are placed . Then they will have their own league . If they have league rn they would be calling for a ban from the government on Valorant

Valorant not out in China so they can’t partner with any Chinese team right now
