Last season their European form was average against mostly mediocre teams, they could’ve lost each of their playoff ties and had their route to the final pretty easy. Napoli are a great team as well, they didn’t show them enough respect and got made to pay the price

The calibre of teams Real Madrid played are much higher than those that Liverpool played, that’s poor logic. I don’t care how many games they played, that’s some rubbish excuse, a lot of their games outside of the PL had multiple players that don’t often start

this literally doesnt make sense either. Liverpool had the hardest group, AC Milan, Porto, AND Atletico Madrid. They won every game
you cant say they had easy opponents, its not their fault benfica beat Ajax, or villarreal beat Bayern
but even then that means we played the better team? we got an "easier bracket" because we got the first seed. we won all games

With all due respect to the other teams, the hardest group doesn’t look very hard for a team of Liverpools calibre. And I’m not talking about who’s fault it is, I’m looking at it at face value and saying what I see, they got dealt a hand that wasn’t in their control, but they didn’t look convincing at all throughout the whole playoff stage, im not talking about results im talking about preformance

youre contradicting yourself. now you talk about liverpools calibre? face value shouldnt matter, because by that standard Man Utd are shit, Barcelona are shit, Arsenal are shit, tottenham, ect. these teams with "low face value" are now performing well. Also, you cant talk about the face value of our opponents - we had the Serie A champion, Laliga Champion, and a team that got top 2 in their respective league.

Idk when I said that Liverpool aren’t a high calibre team but if I said that then I take that back because that would be a lie on my part. And that point doesn’t change anything, most of those teams aren’t shit, they just had a shit season, and saying otherwise would be delusional. Im an inter fan myself and I’m telling you we were mediocre in Europe last season, it doesn’t matter who won what, remember that Inter threw a massive lead to give up the serie a title. The La liga champion beat Liverpool, and Villarreal only qualified for the Conference league because Real Madrid won the UCL
