Earlier I posted how my valorant teammates complained I bot fragged too much as an igl. So I officially left them because they were Def gon kick me. Anyways LFT. RANK: GOLD . I can play controller, sentinels. Good strats vouch for me. Just to have fun btw. Must not be toxic.

I mean anyone can make those basic calls, and at that point I would just call it good comms, there's not really a point in having an actual IGL in lower elo. Ofc having good comms will make a great impact, but IGLing doesn't add anything special really unless your team can actually follow up on it well. And even then, most IGLs in low elo I used to see were pretty dogshit, the most important thing as an IGL is to keep morale up, but most people don't know how to, and probably anyways the best strat in gold is to just send it down or fake and rotate, or just push mid, which doesn't really need an IGL.
you're not too far off there, its not gonna add anything special unless you're starting to do it in plat-diamond+ but it also does depend on the team. While yeah alot of lower elo ones don't really know a whole lot anyhow but I've atleast seen a few that know what they're doing atleast. Just comes down to whether its people that can actually follow up on said calling.
But alot of my opinion also stems from me being an IGL myself.
even then, the people who I think can somewhat IGL in low elo. Most of them are there, because they get so tilted from their teammates due to them IGLing(possible they just have shit aim, but rarely the reason). Higher ELO, IGLing is actually a viable way to rank up, because you pretty much lead the team to have half decent comms(which is important due to the sheer amount of one trick jetts who are antisocial). IGLing is fun though, just don't think it's worth the effort in low elo especially(from experience, just one tricked initiator to get the shit out of there, and now much happier).
