PRIOR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
-PRX have been to 3 international tournaments prior to Champions: Masters Berlin, Masters Reykjavik 2022, and Masters Copenhagen 2022. They placed 13-16th at Berlin, 4th in Iceland, and 2nd in Copenhagen.
-EDG have no prior international experience, since China as a region has not had a path to Champions until this year. In their first appearance in the EA LCQ, they won the event without dropping a map
-EDG also played todays match with a sub, Smoggy, in place of nobody
HIGHLIGHT HEAD TO HEADS
-ZmjjKK vs f0rsaken: Zm and f0rsaken had a close bout as the teams two chambers, with f0rsaken barely edging out the competition 14-13
-CHICOO vs mindfreak: the two controllers, CHICHOO was consistently winning against mindfreak, going 11-6 against him
-Haodong vs d4v41: both flex players put up an even fight against each other, going 8-8 in duels
THE MAPS, THE ROUNDS, THE FRAGS
-PRX won 4 of the 6 pistols
-This was the first time pearl was played in a VCT match
-Jinggg led the server in 2Ks with 13
-f0rsaken and smoggy led the server in 3Ks, both with 4
-mindfreak had two 4Ks, nobody had the only ace
-Two players on each team played three agents, while all the other remaining players played two, except for ZmjjKK, who only played Chamber
ADDITIONAL STATS
-PRX overall were negative in openers
-EDG won 6 more full buy rounds than PRX, despite having only 4 more full buy rounds total
-ZmjjKK went an astonishing 16-5 on openers, +11 overall
-This was the first match Reyna was picked in since Iceland earlier this year
-ZmjjKK also did not lose a single op duel, going 12-0 against PRX
-This match had higher viewership than any match at Masters Copenhagen
LOOKING AHEAD
-PRX will play the winner of Leviatan/Liquid to advance to playoffs
-EDG will play the loser of Leviatan/Liquid to keep their run alive. They will need to win 2 more matches to make it to playoffs
