honestly all the news of franchising, rosters I've supported breaking up/ never got the chance of getting into franchising, the no promotion of the whole APAC scene has made me kinda scared of watching valorant anymore. I know this is a not popular opinion but i needed to vent a little

cap man lol. Ppl so doom and gloom riot already announced they have plans for their tier 2 scene just wait till they actually announce what it is to judge. Also when new teams and players rise up and start to dominate you will be back. This is legit like season 1 and 2 of League of legends if you ever watch lol. No one even remembers them now cept TPA reminds me of PRX Sadge. Hope they win champions.

copium overdose
masters 2 was their best chance to win anything
one of the main reason why PRX reached finals because of the least exposure
they play in a farmers region+ got bye 2 times to playoffs so did not play groups
some teams did not know how to counter them now everyone will play slow against them
also mindfreak was in his best form
if PRX gets grouped they wont get out cause 95% chance they will face at least one east asian team in groups

People are mostly overreacting, franchising is a bit shit but all it’ll do is add more competition, it won’t be as fun, it’ll just be different, even though most don’t particularly like the idea, it’s worth a try

its worth a try maybe later on, but first year of franchising is usually a shitshow

Absolutely, i don’t agree with it at all but it won’t be as bad as some people are making it out to be

see, i don't understand when people say this. the downside of franchising is not the first few years but the later ones. i can see why people wouldn't be interested later on, but the first year will be hype as hell seeing a new format and entirely new superteams along with more international events. if anything, you should watch next year because it will be interesting as hell.

maybe im weitd but i fucking hate superteams, and loves the stories of underdogs/ roster that have played together for a long time coming into success. Putting a bunch of the best valo players just seems dull to me

its not cut and dry like that there's ways to do it right if they include a way for newer teams to lock in a spot for the season thru an open qualifier. There's also ways of implementing an academy team. They just have to set standards for the franchise teams. You obviously can't suck or have criteria and goals for that season.

all fun and games until the 2025 valorant champions finals comes around, SEN (tenz, shroud, tarik, asuna, bcj) vs Bleed Esports (cned, nats, forsaken, jingg, mindfreak). 4.5 million peak viewership. Tenz drops 150 kills
