so far ive watched-
every quentin tarantino movie
every Christopher Nolan movie
every scorcese movie except uncut gems

I'm really getting into the military genre- movies like American sniper, the lone survivor, terminal list etc etc
any movie related to tech, and cybercrime would be nice aswell.

Im a fking telangite and i dont like telugu movies. Im a disgrace but i don't mind it. I just go for shits and giggles. Over the top action, and unhinged audience is what makes it great tho. Everyone whistles and shouts every 5 minutes

I can name a few good aussie movies:

The water Diviner (sad, sad story)
Red Dog (sad, sad, sad story, but with a dog!)
Australia (Happy-ish story)

All amazing movies

yeah well most of the indian scene is built around the hype and value of the actors. Like before they even introduce the title- they introduce the actors name. Hell, they release the songs of the movie before the actual movie itself.

Do the right thing, 12 angry men, there will be blood, Psycho, Vertigo, Rear window, Marriage Story, Misery.
All David fincher movies except for alien 3 and curious case of Benjamin button

There are tons more but these are the movies that came to mind

Edit: here’s a list of good war films.

would recommend all movies from directors like
-Coen Bros(No Country For Old Men, Fargo etc)
-Denis Villeneuve(Prisoners, Blade Runner 2049, Sicario, Incendies all of em . I hecking love Vilnuve)
-Stanley Kubrick(The Shining, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket etc. he's so good)
-David Fincher(Fight Club, Se7en, Gone Girl, Zodiac, the zuccerberg movie too)
As a fellow Indian would recommend Anurag Kashyap movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, DevD, Raman Raaghav 2.0, Ugly, Black Friday, No Smoking
Vishal Bharadwaj's Shakespeare trilogy (Maqbool, Omkara, Haider)
other non english movies like - The Handmaiden, The Hunt, Pan's Labyrinth, Oldboy, City of God etc :)
btw Uncut Gems was by Safdie Bros :) you can watch Good Time if you liked that movie .

Grave of fireflies. This one is amazing but it is anime animation so i understand if it isnt your style. But to give you a quick synopsis it's about 2 siblings trying to survive in the war torn world of Japan. Amazing story. Heartbreaking.

I think scorsese only produced uncut gems, I believe its from the safdie brothers. Regardless-If you’re looking for war movies then paths to glory, full metal jacket, and saving private ryan are musts, and 1917 and dunkirk are very good new ones. Would also look out for christopher nolan’s oppenheimer thats coming out next year I think

The apartment, Casablanca, Gone with the wind, all quiet on the western front, Citizen Kane, Sunset Boulevard, Sergio Leones Dollars Trilogy and Once upon a time in the west.
The Godfather trilogy ( the 3rd one could have been a lot better), Apocalypse Now.

These are some good ones.

I think I read somewhere that a group of psychiatrists watched like a 100 movies that had psychos in them and no country for old men was the most accurate. ( I would have thought that it would be Hannibal Lecter.)

i watched it over two nights with a friend, had a couple drinks, absolute blast of a movie. my fav moment was when the white dude jett updrafted and nosope quickscoped the cops car into a barrel roll. totally realistic. also that cop was a hunk of a man, like an indian jason momoa.
