Optic had the easiest road to upper bracket finals with wins over XSET and DRX.
The same DRX they barely beat got destroyed by FPX so the proof is in the pudding.
Guild deserved an easier bracket to show their strength but their first opponent was FPX, thanks Riot.
There's no way LEV should be considered the 4th best team in the world right now. How are they 2 spots above OPTC when in the two common games they had, OPTC handled XSET and beat DRX, while LEV barely beat XSET and lost to DRX? It's fair to say that OPTC had the easiest road to upper finals with wins over XSET and DRX, but you can't then go and put LEV at 4th for performing worse against the same teams just because they had a close match against a clearly struggling FNC.

i'm not even trying to say that LEV is a terrible team, being 7th in the world still makes them an incredibly strong team, i just don't understand how you can use the excuse that it was their first ever LAN match to justify putting them at 4th in the world above teams like OPTC that have proven significantly more than them
I have OPTC over FNC because while OPTC's wins were against easier competition (XSET and DRX), you can make the same argument about FNC, since they only beat FPX without suygetsu and they just barely scraped out a win against LEV (who in turn only managed to barely beat XSET). I think you can fairly swap 3rd/4th but I would personally put OPTC higher.
for what though? sure they beat OPTC but both maps were down to the wire (11-13 and 14-16) and you can't tell me that OPTC played up to their normal level considering yay was literally at the bottom of the scoreboard for both teams combined.
they also lost against a clearly underperforming suygetsu who was playing his first match with FPX after they had played their last 10 maps with a sub, and obviously was taking some time to get back into the feel of things
The yay thing is way harder to judge since Guild just avoided him SO well only giving him 6 fk/fd on defense (where yay usually pops off). Compare that to 11 and 13 vs Prx and Drx respectively (and ye his acs also just slumped whenever they were on defense since guild were the ones deciding who they fight)
Suygetsu wasnt underpreforming on map 1 (the one that pretty much just decided the whole match) so i dont see this being relevant
(suygetsu litteraly won fpx the map by just walking into B-Lobby and killing 4, it was anyone's game otherwise)
I mean what other logic would you use xD none of us are gonna vod review the entire event to make a biased af "true" power ranking that just stays in hypotheticals
But yes you could put Guild over Fnc because they had a closer game vs FPX and ignore that, while it was a close map 2 with OT, Guild did worse vs prx
And same thing with optic, they did better than FPX than Optic, did almost the same vs prx and beat optic in a head to head
Problem with that is that you just stray SO far away from the only unbiased team ranking we have, results, that it just doesn't hold any value anymore since its all just personal opinions
so... FNC barely managed to beat a team... that barely managed to beat XSET... and that justifies them being significantly better than OPTC... how?
you're also changing the subject, i'm asking how you're putting LEV at 4th and you're trying to change it into an argument about why FNC is better than OPTC
but if you want to talk about FNC, then sure.
