lets say we have 16 teams in worlds tournaments, it could be APAC-NA/SA-EMEA 6-5-5 or 6-6-4

Sadly I think Riot are more likely to end up doing 4-4-4 with a 12 team format

in an ideal world there should be 48 teams, 4 regions, 12 teams in each region. top four from each region go to worlds. but we need a fourth region for that

China will be 4th.

theres no way china would be its own region

they should put APAC SA and Oceania in their own league and put KR JP and China together, that makes the most sense geographically, maybe not competitively tho

This is not about geography. China is the biggest market in esports by far. Once the game gets approved they will have their own league.

SA is one of the biggest FPS scenes in the world and they're getting lumped into the Americas league so I don't get your point

Are you stupid? Are you comparing China’s economy and the money being invested into esports with India?

I meant South America retard why tf would I be talking about India

It doesn’t matter. You can’t compare South America with China financially. It’s a poor region with a poor economy. All the big sponsors want to get into China. 1 chinese viewer = 4 from south america. You are clueless if you think the regions are comparable in any way.

would make the most sense. maybe a vietnam included in the kr/jp/china.

it would make sense since the ping would be much bearable if the north and south was divided

The ping doesn’t matter bozo. These leagues will be played on lan.

Bozo is your brain working? Teams will all live in the same city. Of course the scrims will be played on low ping.

KR JP and China are actually the teams in the East Asia lcq

It makes the most sense, the CN scene isn't as well developed as other scenes and combining them with JP and KR with better teams could help it develop. If it gets too big then they could just split of into a China league

True. Im not a fan of the whole clumping so many countries into 12 team leagues. 3 leagues just seem way too little.
Feel like they will need to expand in the future

If valorant gets bigger then I bet the leagues will expand but I think for now 12 teams is pretty good in terms of bringing in viewership. The dedicated fans can see their teams play consistently every week, diehards will be decently satisfied with seeing high level valorant and casual fans will be easily able to jump into the game without having to wade through 50 rounds of open qualifiers and confusing formats to figure out who is going where and what's going on.

I would take 12 over 10, easily. 12 is what most regions challengers already run on, plus there are easily 12 Tier 1 VCT caliber teams in many regions, or atleast can equal that in combining regions (KR,JP & LATAM,BR). Seems like insanity to have such few teams in a league that can 100% support it
