So, are we going to have to wait every year till the end of the year to see teams of all over the world facing each other? C'mon, where are the tournament organizers such as DreamHack, ESL, Blast, Epicenter, MDL? Please someone just make a world tournament already, we can't even tell wich teams are good and wich are bad if we just play our region during the year, Valorant will become boring, they have to make world tournaments besides the one sponsored by Riot like CSGO or Dota2, to make the game more entretaining.

Well the main problem would be ping. You can't have a North American team play a European team all online and have it be equal footing. I'm sure you could find some server where they would have even ping, but it would take a lot of work to figure out for each region for each match. So, the matches would have to be against each other in person, which is very hard to do with the current state of the world.

I'm sure we could have some fun with this thread for making power rankings and theorizing though!

With the current vlr.gg ranking system the top 10 would be (obviously these are just comparing the teams regionally, I'm just making a list of their ratings per region and acting like it means something overall, and is also not my opinion just so that it's clear):

  1. 1999 Vision Strikers (KR)
  2. 1992 G2 Esports (EU)
  3. 1933 Team Heretics (EU)
  4. 1932 Sentinels (NA)
  5. 1918 Gamelanders (BR)
  6. 1898 FunPlus Phoenix (EU)
  7. 1892 ex-EXO Clan (AU)
  8. 1867 Envy (NA)
  9. 1856 TSM (NA)
  10. 1848 Absolute JUPITER (JP)

That's what Valorant Champions Tour is for... final tournament (Champions) is international, and Masters 3 should be international as well.

While CS has tournaments with the best teams in the world every month Valorant has twice a year and only at the end of the year.

This is so stupid that I don't know how anyone still defends it.

it turns out that traveling is impossible right now... there's this thing, maybe you've heard of it? Coronavirus? tl;dr it's bad and some people don't want to get sick and die for the sake of some random people on the internet wanting to see if some shitty NA team can beat some shitty KR team.

Masters, which happens 3 times a year, is supposed to be international, making it 4 international tournaments a year. Except, like I said, people don't really want to be put at risk for the sake of entertainment.

Yeah but he is saying that even after covid is over. The 4 times a yeear format is too little. Think about it, we will only see them play once every 3 months.

I would actually rather watch it every 3 months than every month. It's hard to keep up with cs and all the tournaments they have and also, the less tournaments you have, the more rewarding the tournaments are. If a team in cs loses a tournament, it doesn't mean much(unless it's a major) since they have another tournament next week.

it kinda does, because these guys are fighting for rankings, respect. They want to be at the top of HLTV, dominate month to month rankings, and get awards for best team/player of the year. If they only cared about the prizepool money then they'd be streaming and making youtube content.

Yeah but to me winning 1 of 4 tournaments in a year would mean more than winning 1 of 12. That's the point I was trying to make and because Valorant doesn't have any HLTV rankings or anything, winning a tournament would mean so much more

Well the point is that there are a plethora of non-major events. 3 are the biggies and then there are 10-12 which are also important (not as). Csgo pros want to win everything, more trophies, more awards, more recognition. Hell there were period when they played an official or two every day.

When the teams from Brazil and NA traveled to Europe to play all these tournaments that are happening, didn’t there exist Corona Virus?

And that guy saying 4 international tournaments is enough for a year made me laugh lol

Keep thinking small and you will always be small!

This community is really a joke ... If Riot listens to this community, it will die along with it.

I guess that riot will have 4 international Championships but other companies eventually will start inviting teams from other scenes. Our scenario didn't even started, they need more time to do that. How a company will inject some money if they doesn't even know how it Works?

Don't be bothered by the fact that the top esport (LoL) has 2 international tournaments a year. What's even funnier is that people don't care about the first one (MSI) that much, it's all about regional leagues and obviously the Worlds.

You are so dumb omg hahaha

1st Valorant is a FPS game not a MOBA game
The dynamics of the game are completely different

2nd You must be about 14 years old, so you shouldn't know, but at the beginning of LoL it wasn't like it is today, there were international competitions made by third parties that made it popular and grow!
One of the most famous plays of all time in LoL happened in an IEM

3rd Wanting to compare Valorant with LoL shows how dumb you are, the popularity even at the beginning of the game was completely different. The demand for a MOBA was much greater than for a tactical FPS.

Arguing here is the same as talking to a wall
I hope that Valorant's dev's aren't as dumb as most of those who visit this page.
