https://twitter.com/AcendClub/status/1544366124409700353. They have recruited a team of content creators for Valorant. Previously they signed a Game Changers team. Dunno if they would get into it but if they don't again dunno what would they do with Valorant after heavy investments.

there is no world that acend makes franchising

Ehh depends on how many slots there are. And especially will MENA get spot or not. I would imagine EU getting 6 slots + 2 CIS + 1/2 TR or something like that.
G2, TL, Fnatic are locks for sure for EU but rest are still up in the air tbh. There are many big orgs like Vitality, but Acend has been in EMEA Valorant for long time, won Masters 1 EMEA, qualified to Masters 3, won Champions and has overall been consistent top team in EMEA. So them getting a spot wouldn't be out of this world.
Also depends on what Riot values. Brand value(clout) or trustworthiness or past investment etc.

i doubt they make it which is extremely sad that the first ever val champs wont make it.

Would be really weird if the first Valorant Champions winner doesn't make it into franchising

Would it? They were never popular to begin with. I doubt 3 years from now people will care about who won Champions in 2021. Sure, the players legacy will go on but the org? No one will care.

acend is created in march 2021 and they are very successful org. They won first year champions in valorant and now their halo team is champions of EU and one of the dominant teams at halo. They have apex team aswell, they will play at apex's biggest tourney something like valorant champions. Yes thet don't have a big fan base but it's because the team is still new.

It depends on what riot values more though- fan base or financials. Acend is funded by a gambling site, so that already removes one possibility for franchising

the owner of rise your edge and acend himself said that its not gambling site we'll see

You need to get off the copium my friend. Riot values orgs that have proven to know how to run a succesful business and Acend is not one of them. Acend doesn’t have any sponsor outside of the shitty poker website that they’re owned by. Their content game is very weak. They have the Champions winners but they didn’t know how to market they properly and create good content around them.

Why would Riot take them over established orgs that have a proven record of knowing how to run an esports org? Stop being delussional.

shouldve marketed themselves better when they were the best team in the world

Problem is that most people thought their victory at champions was a fluke.

And they were right.

they sorta tried, theyve always posted behind the scenes and vlog sorta shit but theyve always been a small org and even after winning champs didnt get a huge amount of attention. doesnt help only having 2 core members left which doesnt make them incredibly recognisable either

...and their best players were never very charismatic tbh. Guys like cNed, good players without a big brand.

they are right tho in some sense, he mostly posts in turkish doesn't interact with foreign fans at all, it makes it hard to have a brand internationally and even in turkey he isn't that loved bcz of his history with BBL(i'm not su sure about this one) he's quite reserved and let's be real him being active with turkish fans won't matter in the international space like other big names in valorant like tenz, so i agree he could've been so much bigger imo

very very unlikely that Acend make franchising. They are still backed by Raise Your Edge and ion think Riot wants anything to do with that kind of org. Sad but true that its highly unlikely that the first world champs will be out of a job in just a couple months. feelsbadman :(

^exactly why raiseyouredge rebranded their esports division to acend because a gamba sponsor wouldn't sit well with riot

they still have the gambling sponsor, they just changed the name to make it less obvious. Even on their official website Raise Your Edge is written underneath their main name
