Their viewership is only 5k (LCK 50k, JPN 300k)
And a team to beat DRX doesn't exist.
DRX always destroys Korea and goes to masters.

Ima be real with u, OW gets less viewers than Valo

only LCK, some lost ark events get like 100k viewers, some VRchat events gets like 50k, but other than that koreans dont watch a lot of twitch broadcast

I read that somewhere that the Korean scene was one of the best in OW and people over there are still very much into it... didn't knew it's ded there too

Maybe that's why many valo KR players are imported to other countries

true, which is a good sign tho, they're getting more foreign support

also not a good sign when your own region doesn't give the same amount of support that others give

T1 and GENG left early for NA, the only popular valorant streamers from F4Q no longer compete, so its becoming a very casual game there

Now i wanna know why riot promotion NA > KR > EMEA > APAC
Emea won every shit still no custom promo videos like last time (babybay, tenz etc)

you mean that interview type of thing they did for tenz and yay(whole optic)? emea also had a same thing for mixwell this time in challengers 2, you can see it on the val esports channel on youtube named mixwell: the father of valorant

In EMEA they always fly some of the players to Berlin and does promo stuff for Challengers. Its nothing crazy, but EMEA players have to fly from other countries. But I agree that it should and could be better. I guess it will be better for next year when maybe all players are in same country and production becomes way easier.

could be the main reason why a lot of Korean players play in other regions Northepions two Korean players Munchkin, Xeta, Saya etc…

Its funny cause valorant is actually becoming one of their more play shooters. I think in terms of pc bang numbers its close to OW or beating them out now. The reality though is that majority of korea like 70 percent is invested in League. Still valorant is super popular in japan and league wasn't popular in japan so it just depends.

Valorant is only their 4th most popular shooter games, after sudden attack, pubg, and overwatch. I think the main reason for that is because csgo wasn't as popular in korea, instead sudden attack was their main shooter game for the past decade. Plus none of the big LoL orgs (T1, GenG) are signing valorant players.

well... china and korea are 2 powerhouses in League. obviously fans are going to be more attracted to that. Valorant is still pretty new, and no offense, but I didn't even know people play valorant in China

Because there is no competition in korea left i think, earlier there were competition for DRX(VS Formerly) like F4Q, NUTURN, DWG now it seems like DRX has found the one solution to dominate the region n cannot be defeated. That for one reason i have personally stopped watching KR matches excpet DRX VS O2S there matches look good

league is all that matters there i think
