We don't know yet.
Probably after the Champions or befero (some weeks), we'll know the future of Valorant esports. But probably will be like LOL :/

in simple terms the current format is kinda like champions league where the best teams from each region compete, when franchising happens it will be more like the NBA where there will be a set amount of franchise teams and players compete to play for those teams. it does not ensure the absolute best players represent their region like the first format but it will improve economical stability to the teams and players.
