absolutely none my router is Dual Band tho
I keep 5Ghz for my PC and Phone ( LAN like ping and full 150mbps speed)
2.4Ghz for 2laptops 3phones smart TV and rest of the stuff my family uses (speed drops to 30mbps in the rooms which are quite far)

I had considered the Pcie one before this one too but my GPU was making it difficult so I decided to go with this one
another important thing I think is making sure both wifi router and wifi Adapter are on 5Ghz since there's A LOT of interference on the 2.4Ghz band especially in metro cities like mine with huge population density

download speed never increases more than the ISP plan which you have

As said above, if you have a dual band router then go for a WiFi adaptor. But make sure that the router is in the same room as your PC cause 5GHz can't penetrate walls well enough. If it's far away, then you'll be stuck using the 2.4GHz signal which is result in higher ping and slower speed which aint ideal.

This is true, 5GHz provide high bandwidth but low range, unless you have a very powerful AP

slower speed is fine for gaming afaik 1mbps and 5ping was more than enough for me to play CsGo Online back in 2016 pretty sure it wont be any different with valorant

You still would not want to watch these online games with a 1mbps connection. The buffering kills you on the inside.

I used Jio for that back in 2016 now I got JioFibre 150mbps plan

Same. Jiofiber and AirtelXtreme has been the backbone of gaming in tier 2 cities.
