Who do you think will get the slots for the americas "franchise"? Riot will give priority to the teams that are in the current stage of the VCT + the teams that are already part of the League of Legends franchises, we already know more or less the organizations that will enter based on the criteria of the LoL franchises with some important changes and additional criteria (Note: The Valorant franchise is totally different than the League of Legends, it is an international franchise (not domestic) where organizations will probably have to have structure to move the team across the continent of the league at each stage).

I think the distribution of slots will be as follows: 16 teams in total, 8 teams from NA, 5/4 teams from Brazil and 3/4 teams from LATAM.

That is my opinion of the organizations that are going to participate in the franchises - NA/BR/LATAM organizations that are probably already confirmed in the franchises:

  • TSM (NA)
  • 100T (NA)
  • Cloud9 (NA)
  • Optic (NA)
  • FaZe (NA)
  • FURIA (BR)
  • NIP (BR)
  • MIBR (BR)
  • KRU (LATAM)
  • 9z (LATAM)

NA/BR/LATAM organizations that have a good chance of getting in:

  • LOUD (BR)
  • Pain Gaming (BR)
  • Liberty (BR)
  • Godsent (BR)
  • T1 (NA)
  • EG (NA)
  • Gen.G (NA)
  • Sentinels (NA)
  • XSET (NA)
  • Luminosity (NA)
  • Gillete Infinity (LATAM)
  • Leviatán (LATAM)

NA/BR/LATAM organizations that will have to show riot a sick project to get in:

  • Fluxo (BR)
  • Los Grandes (BR)
  • Gamelanders (BR)
  • Vivo Keyd (BR) (Riot doesn't like VK so I put it here)
  • Red Canids (BR)
  • NRG (NA)
  • CLG (NA)
  • Dignitas (NA)
  • The Guard (NA)
  • Knights (NA)
  • Version1 (NA)
  • Soniqs (NA)
  • Complexity (NA)
  • Optix Moviestar (LATAM)
  • Furious Gaming (LATAM)
  • Isurus (LATAM)
  • XTEN (LATAM)
  • E-Xolos Lazer (LATAM)

I'm 90% sure LOUD gets into the franchises, the 10% is the concern that they don't have the necessary structure that Riot wants in time. LOUD is an organization that has a lot of money, but their big problem is the problem of expanding the infrastructure of the organization, they are very inexperienced in this, the owner of LOUD said so himself, that's why I put NIP and MIBR in a tier above.

i can see that but Loud are in the CBLOL and NIP and MIBR aren't

riot are more likely to choose orgs that are investing in league of legends as well as valorant

NIP has a LoL team in the LPL (Chinese League) aka Victory Five (NIP bought the spot last year) and MIBR is managed by Immortals which is in the LCS.

Loud and T1 are 100% getting franchise slots and I think Riot would choose a respectable org like NRG over FaZe in a heartbeat

Today NRG is more influential, has more money and infrastructure than Faze? I really have no idea about that, I don't know very well about the internal background of NA orgs.

Riot has a problem with VK even before Valorant. VK had the proposal of the CBLOL (Brazilian League of League of Legends) franchises denied even being the pioneer in the LoL scene along with Pain Gaming in Brazil and with a better infrastructure and internal organization than several organizations that managed to enter the CBLOL franchises. The entire CBLOL fanbase didn't understand how VK couldn't enter the franchise.

NRG should get in over faze just purely for skill but im not sure about money/investment wise but NRG has been in the game for a while

also they need to put loud in for pure skill as well like no one else in BR holds a candle to Loud

probably going to be one or two teams from wildcard, so my guess is 8 from NA, 3 from BR, 2 from LATAM, 1 LATAM/BR wildcard 2 NA wildcard
