It is weird. Maybe it’s an EU thing 😂

I installed CS Source last night because I missed surfing, and CS2 killed surf.

It was pretty fun to surf again, but I also found another server with fy_iceworld.

It has probably been 15+ years since I’ve played fy_iceworld, and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. It was just a breath of fresh air compared to the slow paced gun play in Valorant.

15+ years and I still have loads of fun playing custom maps in CS, but I doubt I will want to play Valorant in 15 years 😂

Why not just get Dapr?

I’m just curious how many games does it take to reach your previous rank after a new Episode rank reset?

Let’s say you’re Radiant with 500 RR. Then you go down to Ascendant 1 at the beginning of the new Episode. About how many games will it take to reach 500 RR again? I know it will depend on win rate too.

Last Act was possibly the most boring Act Ive ever played. From the shit matchmaking to the boring maps, and it’s just rinse and repeat this Act.

Sunset, Lotus, and new Icebox are just zzzzz. I actually liked old Icebox much more.

Breeze is fine now that they reopened Halls.

Bring back Haven and make the game fun again. Hell ill play Fracture and Pearl again.

Btw they definitely changed something with the matchmaking because it has become much looser with the ranks

But EG lost every Split game when Demon1 was on Astra. They started winning Split with Demon1 on Jett. Even Potter said that was the problem.

The only Split game they lost with Demon1 on Jett was against Fnatic 11-13.

posted 7 months ago

Why would they not put Demon1 on Jett?

https://www.vlr.gg/248277/paper-rex-vs-evil-geniuses-valorant-champions-2023-playoffs-gf/?game=137639

Old EG struggled on Split too, but then they put on Demon1 on Jett and let him run around freely with Jawgemo on Raze.

They could have put Demon1 on Jett and Victor on Raze.

Marved on smokes, Crashies Viper, and Ethan on Skye.

posted 7 months ago

TenZ was still the Jett for SEN, and no IGL could have made that work successfully.

Now that Zekken is on Jett and TenZ on smokes, it’s much easier for JohnQT to IGL.

Ain’t no way anyone would have put TenZ on smokes in that new SEN team.

There are currently 7428 Immortals in NA with one day left in the Act. About 200 of these are at 0 RR.

I think this is the first Act where there are not 10K Immortals at the end. It’s pretty clear that either Riot changed the MMR gains, or there are less people playing. I think it’s a mixture of the two.

posted 7 months ago

Asuna has always been like this though. It was part of his personality to be fun and entertaining.

I have two accounts both around the same rank.

I’m beginning to think I need 3 accounts, because I currently have a week ban on my main because my boss called me

You’re right. I should think about the other two players.

There are many e-daters in NA Immortal. Once, I hear a girl’s voice on my team, there’s usually another guy who’s trying to IGL and sound “super cool” and pretentious. They also usually lock Jett. Once I check tracker to confirm they are duo’d, I will usually soft troll the game.

The male counterpart will get mad or flame me, but I will just play dumb. For some reason, trolling e-daters is more fun for me than trying to win the game. Is there something wrong with me? 😂

I was Immortal 3 last Act, but this Act I’ve hit a streak of bad games and am now Ascendant 3.

I’m still being placed in Immortal lobbies so my MMR is higher than my rank.

The thing is, I feel less inclined to try and win the game because I’m still going to be Ascendant, however, my Immortal teammates are all trying their hardest to win.

If I was Immortal 2/3, I would also try my hardest to win, but being in Ascendant kind of kills my motivation, even though I’m still in Immortal lobbies.

So yeah it’s kinda weird how the psychology works, but basically I don’t care if I win or lose now that I’m Ascendant, but if I was Immortal 3, I would care a lot more about winning. The bad thing is these two mindsets are in the same lobby 😂

He had 30+ kills on Omen on Split that one match. His Omen and KAYO are similar in output, but Zellsis’ KAYO is just one of the best

posted 8 months ago

Zellsis has the most experience on KAYO and is very good at him, so it makes sense that he will play KAYO.

Kaplan likes TenZ on Omen because he has more potential to pop off compared to Pancada.

Eggsterr is by far the best Yoru. He would farm every region just like he farms NA pros daily

Yay got steel kicked from DSG so he took a jab at him

You cannot simply replace the vibes merchant

posted 8 months ago

Prime Yay would almost always have slow starts.

posted 8 months ago

Icebox is a double controller map, and Brim is great as a secondary smoker.

posted 8 months ago

Asuna is the vibes and clout merchant for 100T, similar to Zellsis, although Zellsis is the much better player

posted 8 months ago

It’s actually triggering me so hard that his smokes are like this. It’s not THAT poorly placed but it’s just bad enough to irk me lol

Breeze has always been my best map

I have been using 1024x768 resolution since beta. I used this res because it was the same res I played CSGO with.

I tried Native a few times, but it always feels like I am watching the game through a fish bowl. My movement just feels so slow on Native resolution.

Once I switched to 1024x768, my aim felt snappy and smooth, and my movement feels instant. The models are blurrier, but they seem bigger and “zoomed in”, which is helpful for long distance fights. Anyone else use a similar resolution?

Btw: Breeze WR is 13W - 3L for this Act

posted 8 months ago

True, but it would also be a good way to catch voice and text chat abusers.

posted 8 months ago

I used to play CSGO on ESEA and it was always so much fun downloading the replay of the match and hearing the voice comms from the other team.

Usually you would hear the other team tilt in voice comms after you did a nice play.

I wish Valorant would add this. I would play ranked a lot more with a replay system

posted 8 months ago

I would play surf, KZ or 1v1 arenas in CSGO almost daily. Then CS2 came out and it felt like Valorant with CS characteristics.

If I wanted to play Valorant, I would play Valorant.

I can’t even enjoy surf or kz anymore, because the movement in CS2 is that bad. It’s truly a travesty that they destroyed the best game in CSGO.

posted 8 months ago

I just don’t think he is that good. There are a ton of good players in the NBA who are constantly being traded to different teams. They’re called journeymen who are just good enough to stay pro.

With 28 days left in the Act?

Is Ranked that bad now? Is it because dead game?

posted 8 months ago

I did some quick maths to see how many games it would take to reach your old rank after a new Episode reset.

Let’s say you were Immortal 3 300 RR and got reset to Ascendant 1 50 RR. Let’s say you gain +20 RR for a win, and lose -13 RR for a loss on average for all of your games.

Based on my maths, at a 50% win rate, you will have to play about 28 games in each rank, meaning it will take about 85 total games to reach your old rank. (28 games * 5 ranks + 14 games in Ascendant 1).

What do you guys think of this maths?

There is a new employee at the office. He is an older guy and kinda awkward. He came by my cubicle and asked if I had lunch today. I said, “Yes I have eaten lunch”, and then he said, “Chinese food?”. I said, “Lol No just a sandwich.”

I happen to be Asian (Taiwanese not Chinese), so I’m thinking this was a microaggressive comment. Is it racist?

Bind is still for Skye

Her flash and dog for long B is just too valuable and can’t be replaced. On defense, the dog from long B to showers TP is just too valuable.

She is still the strongest initiator during the initial site hit.

Also you shouldn’t be playing Skye on Breeze. Sova is the meta and KAYO should be second initiator.

posted 9 months ago

She still has a dog and two info flashes

posted 9 months ago

Where are your sources?

posted 9 months ago

I’m not just talking about pistol round. She is still a very strong agent for the entire game, even if her flash doesn’t regenerate.

posted 9 months ago

If 4 players buy armor, she heals to 400

posted 9 months ago

The fact that Skye is the only initiator that can heal teammates is crazy OP, especially in pistol rounds.

Many players below Immortal never buy heal in pistol round (99% of players). They would rather buy a ghost or get 25 HP in armor. Low elo players are too dumb to realize that Skye can potentially heal 400 HP per round. In pistol round, this is absolutely broken.

400 HP > 25 HP in armor

400 HP + classic > ghost

You can’t compare Zekken to Demon1. I think Zekken is the best overall player simply because he’s so flexible. He can play any agent at a high level. Demon1 just has the best aim, but his tactical fundamentals are still not very good. If you watched him in any clutch situation where he has to play the bomb, you know what I’m talking about

9/10 girls that use their mic have the exact same whispering ASMR anime voice. It must be the female equivalent of the Valorant accent. Once I hear the ASMR voice I start soft trolling

posted 9 months ago

Basically there is a toxic duo that plays on the same server as me. We are Immortal elo so we constantly see each other in our games.

I would love to avoid queuing at the same time as this toxic duo, instead of having to dodge when I get them on my team. Is there an app that lets you do this?

posted 9 months ago

I followed Asuna from CSGO. He was a good up and comer with a very aggressive play style, but he was not on the level of other young players like oBo and sOm.

He was teammates with Kanpeki, who was also not quite pro level.

I was actually surprised that he found the level of success that he did in Valorant initially.

Yes he’s not as good as more established pros but he’s very marketable.
