i really think that franchises are going to kill valorant competitive scene in couple years, always the same teams with some roster changes meanwhile cs will keep itself at the top like past 24 years cuz theyre not totally dependant on valve and once a while a small org make a great run

no hating on the video game tho, i like it, but riot doesnt really care about it, they created a fun game that can go head to head with the most successful fps in history and theyre screwing it

but the game is pretty recent compared to others and maybe im talking shit idc im high

not blaming 100% riot but they had a HUGE credit in yays dawnfall

all 3 americas teams at shanghai havent qualed to an international since 2022, geng and th were mid before this year. SEN just won masters after being mid for 3 years, LOUD missing out on their first LAN ever, DRG at their first LAN ever... how is it the same teams? even in frnachising there are 44 different teams (48 soon) how is nearly 50 teams not enough different orgs??

how riot handles competitive scene is so retarded
rlly makes u think when faker and rookie (the top 2 lol mids of all time) played two bo1 against each other
thats like if cr7 and messi played twice league matches against each other in their entire career

some problems that latin american orgs suffer in americas partnership:

  • Cost: orgs have to pay for the player's houses, gaming houses, food, player salaries, etc. LA prices are extremely high (thats why LOUD doesnt even live there, they take around 2 hours to arrive at riot). Orgs have to pay for all of that while trying to maintain a good team without losing their players to better offers. Besides that, it's hard to compete finnancialy with orgs that have NA sponsorship;
  • Scouting: can't really scrim properly when the tryouts occur in opposite hemispheres; Getting visas for LA takes a long time (it can take 6 months) and it's another cost the org has to cover

idk how someone can defend this elitist system
