compared to this year last years format actually looked good bro, we had LOCKIN a good event that awarded teams who took offseason seriously then Leagues for 11 weeks, then Tokyo then LCQ then Champs actually great fucking year.

its an invitational, meant to showcase the skills and talents of every team at the start of the year.
its not an actual masters tournament

thats exactly what it was
they just added some prize money for some stakes and showcase but i wouldnt weigh it as much as masters
PRX were literally one of the favourites to win because of the single elim format but they bombed out first round but i dont complain that its a "bad" format, just rewards teams that are consistent in winning.

no quals i guess but name 1 team that wouldve done good but didnt qual. also i dont think anyone other than loud wouldve beat fnatic

lock//in was a cool formality, allowed every team to compete
tokyo being so close to champs was a little dumb though. i think having 2 splits is better but it DEFINITELY should not the format that they chose for this year.

What if LOCK//IN was done as the 2nd LAN of the day instead, I think it would be cooler
Or if there were 4/5 LANs a Year, they'd be the 2nd/3rd respective LAN for the Year
It's a pretty fun event since all the Teams can fight it out instead of just the Top Teams
